Another classic from back in the day, Fragma - Toca’s Miracle, returns for 2008 with new remixes by In Petto, Vandalism, Wideboys, Alex K, Loverush UK and Wez Clarke.
Sue Brice’s vocals are as powerful as they ever were but sadly the new mixes do the original no justice. This house anthem started out as two entirely different tracks, the instrumental “Toca Me” by Fragma and CoCo’s “I Need a Miracle”.
In summer 2000 an illegal bootleg that mashed the vocals from the CoCo track on top of the instrumental Toca Me became huge in the clubbers paradise that is Ibiza. Fragma eventually released the mashup and it went on to top both the UK & Australian charts.
For me some remixes work, such as the Utah Saints, most don’t and are better left in their original way, Toca’s Miracle 2008 falls into latter of the two.
