Wes Welker learned a valuable lesson on Sunday afternoon.  The undersized receiver who is putting up career numbers found out that going across the middle against the Steelers when they are up 13 is very dangerous.  Steelers defender Ryan Clark laid a vicious hit on Welker as a pass intended for him was tipped.  Clark launched himself at Welker in an attempt to break up the play, but because of the tip the ball was never close to being caught.  He was flagged on the play and will probably be fined for leaving his feet.  Welker didn’t return to the game after the hit and Clark did say he was sorry so all is good I guess.
