Mobile Phone Spying
March 19, 2006
In a couple of posts last week I spoke of Bluetooth Mobile Phone Hacking and Mobile Phone Location Tracking.
Well today I came across something even more fightening. Complete mobile phone spying. What does this involve?
You install a simple piece of software on the phone, most new phones have the operating system to accept it, older ones don’t, then you log into an online account and you can see various pieces of information regarding that phone such as:
Full incoming/outgoing calls list including time, date and number.
Full incoming/outgoing text message list including time, date and THE FULL CONTENT OF THE TEXT.
In May this software will also allow you to call the phone, though it won’t ring as the number you are calling from will be on a specified list, and it will activate the mouth piece / microphone on the phone to allow you to hear what is happening wherever the phone is.
This is true and already available.
Is someone watching you? Is someone tracking you? How would you know? Next time your other half says “Can I borrow your phone a minute” ask yourself what are they doing with it? Or next time you’re on the throne doing a bit of paperwork what is she/he doing with your phone? In the time it takes you to wipe your arse the software is installed.
You might say to yourself “I’ve nothing to hide so I don’t care”, well it’s more about invasion of priacy than having something to hide.
Would I use it? Hell yeah. Would I feel bad? No chance. Now go and check the amount of memory being used on your phone…………….LOL.
