Luxury Living: The Emirates Palace Hotel
February 4, 2008
The Emirates Palace is a luxury hotel located in the United Arab Emirates city of Abu Dhabi. It cost of over US$3 billion to build and boasts 302 rooms and 92 suites - it is reputed to be the most expensive hotel ever built. Much of the interior decor is in gold and marble.
You can take a virtual tour here. Don’t get any ideas about taking a trip unless you have a rather hefty bit of spare change.
One night in the Palace Grand three Bedroom Suite will set you back 42,000.00 AED, which in normal money is £5,813.752 GBP - $11,443.83 USD.
OK so I did pick the hotel’s most expensive suite but what’s the point in going to a hotel like this if you’re staying in the cheap rooms?
One last point to mention is that you may have seen the photos below in an email claiming it’s a mansion that belongs to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the former President of the Arab Emirates. Like many things online, it’s simply not true.
