Jose Mourinho Takes Over At Inter Milan
June 3, 2008
Jose Mourinho said he was a “great coach” but insisted he no longer wanted to be ’special’ at his unveiling as Inter Milan’s new manager.
Mourinho, who announced himself to English football as the “special one” when he became Chelsea boss, takes over at Inter from Roberto Mancini despite him winning three straight league titles. The axe came down on Mancini due to his lack of success in this season’s Champions League.
45-year-old Mourinho has a stunning managerial record despite his young age, having won two Portuguese championships, a Portuguese Cup, a UEFA Cup and Champions League with Porto, as well as two Premier Leagues, an FA Cup and two league cups among his honours at Chelsea.
