Hotel Made From Shipping Containers (Photos)

This is not a bunch of photoshopped pictures, this hotel is real, and yes it was constructed using modified shipping containers.
This Travelodge budget hotel was built in Uxbridge on the outskirts of London cheaper and faster than a conventional building. It has 120 rooms, and the double rooms measure 5m x 3m.
Standing eight-storeys the hotel is built from 86 modified shipping containers that are constructed in China with the bathrooms, plasterboard walls and electrical points already fitted. Once on site they are then stacked on top of each other and bolted together after which they are decorated and furnished, and the exterior of the building is cladded.
Owners Travelodge are planning to build another ’shipping container hotel’ at Heathrow airport, this time it’s going to be a 307 room version.
