Disturbing Footage From Inside A Meat Processing Plant

This video shows some weird process of how cattle are treated in a meat processing factory before they finally get killed - I have no idea why this part of the process is necessary.
Don’t worry I’m not going to get on my soap box and start preaching about animal rights, I enjoy a Big Mac like most other civilized people and I’ve no intention of eating lettice and carrots for the rest of my day but this all looks a bit needless and cruel.
