Kim Peek was the inspiration for the character of Raymond Babbit, played by Dustin Hoffman, in the movie Rain Man.
In a test he read 8 pages in 53 seconds and two hours later he had a 98.7% recall including the page numbers. The maker of this video took the same test, it took him 23 minutes to read what Kim read in 53 seconds and he only had a 45% recall, which is normal.
