A keen amateur cook died after challenging his friend to a red hot chili eating contest.

33-year-old Andrew Lee, of Edlington, South Yorkshire, used a bagful of home-grown red chilis to make a super-fiery sauce after betting a mate he could make the hottest chili. He then dared his girlfriend’s brother to eat a spoonful.

According to The Daily Mail, Mr Lee then ate a plateful of his sauce with nachos and later suffered a heart attack and died.
