Casino Advertising
March 22, 2006
The Joint Guidance by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Gambling Commission, whoever the fuck they are, have decided that casino advertising on .co.uk websites has to change.
WHY?
What difference does a .co.uk make? I don’t get it at all. .com, .net, .co.uk, .info
All can be viewed in the UK. I can make any of those endings no.1 in Google UK. Here is an example. Sitting top of the bunch is a site I own. It’s a .com, it advertises that same casino site and I don’t have to change the banners on it. Why not? It’s a domain name owned by a UK resident, it is hosted on a server in the UK, it ranks no.1 on a UK version of the worlds largerst search engine. I really don’t understand it.
They dream up these cock and bull ideas and waiste a fortune in the process and in the end they haven’t a bloody clue what they are doing.
Bureaucratic bullshit. At the end of the day, if someone wants to play online poker or whatever other gambling type game then they will. I advertise the same casino on this site, as do many football clubs, magazines and fuck knows what else. Gambling is part of life.
The UK government yet again has lost the place.
