For the third time Opie and Anthony have been canceled in Boston.  The shock jock pair that shot to fame in the 90’s for their raunchy radio show had been pulled from the air in Boston for crossing the line twice in the past.  In 1998 they reported that Boston Mayor Thomas Menino died in a car crash and in 2002 they were dropped for having a couple have sex in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral.  They have had a show on XM radio since 2006 and WBCN syndicated the program in the Boston market for the last two years.  However, low ratings are the cause of this new dismissal and not an amazing radio stunt that shocked listeners.  Hell if you are going to get dropped I say go out with a bang and get a midget involved.
