BBI Inbox: Photos, Links, Suggestiona and Comments

June 28, 2008

I decided to do this post instead of replying to this weeks BBI emails individually because most of them are asking the same questions. Of course that’s the sensible ones, there are the usual misfits and crackpots emailing me abuse - I know I’m an asshole, I don’t need any more emails telling me so.

OK, let’s fire through some of these emails. The first question was by far the most popular this week:

“How did you get a sitewide link at collegehumor.com?”
The truth is, I have no idea, I am part of the Linkswap program and I do submit to the Hotlinks section a couple of time a week. I’m guessing it’s a rotation and it’s my turn to be in the Partner Sites section.

“Where do you get the pictures from?”
In regard to the celeb photos, most of the newer one’s I get emailed to me, find them in forums and from a subscription service I’m a member of. The funny, odd and bizarre photos I find in a similar way. Lots of emails and a lot of surfing. If I see a chick in a funny t-shirt I make a folder for it, then when there’s say 20 pics in it I do a post.

“I think you should feature xxxxxx on your site, she is gorgeous”
I appreciate the suggestions, long story short is that I run several celebrity related sites and many of the suggestions made, such as Jennifer Ellison and Gemma Atkinson, rank highly for those sites. BBI makes no money, it’s a bit of fun for me and the all seeing eye that is Google sends way to much traffic to those sites and they pay my rent. There’s plenty of women to go round all of my online ventures so if they ain’t here you’ll easily find them on lots of other sites. Keep those suggestions coming though, I’ve found some great babes sent in by readers.

“I keep sending you links but you never use them, why not, my blog is fucking great!”
Loads of reasons here, the #1 reason is I didn’t like your blog or post. Other reasons could be it’s an ad party, it’s got hardcore porn or an endless battle with pop ups. Of course I could have forgotten about it but if you submit on a regular basis and you haven’t had a link in two weeks then you’ll find it’s not likely to happen.

“Why is there nowhere to comment on your site?”
Comments were disabled a long time ago and when I changed the blog theme I just removed the comments section completely. There was too much spam and abuse in the past. If you have something worth saying, you can use the contact form.

That’s more than enough for today, I’ll do another five next weekend.

P.S. Adam in sister banging country - if you are going to run your mouth about the BBI logo and how good you are at design then you really need to consider how good your own work is without wearing your ‘Im a genius hat’. My five year old nephews have better photoshop skills than you, so please, go and blow your daddy and give me peace and quiet.
